Can you recommend a bank to try for a student loan?

I've tried one suggested by the school I'm applying to. This is for my Masters degree and I have no federal or state grants or funds. Are there any private institutions that specialize in student loans? When I apply, my credit will be iffy, but most of my credit lines will be recently closed (am about to pay off a lot of things).

Knowing my credit wasn't the best, and i don't want anyone to have to co-sign with me, but I looked into edamerica. surprisingly they are great and the app went right through. 2 days ago!! i just got divorced and my credit is poor. very poor. but edamerica.com worked for me!

Go to Fasfa.gov you should get a Federal student loan, all it is a private student loan where the government pays the interests until you finish school.

you cannot get a stafford loan(FAFSA)? you should try salliemae.com it is a gov't back loan program. there are grad excel loans and another loan called tuition answer.

you need to go to a credit union, their rates are normally lower and things normally go smoother because they are a credit union. i have a student loan through a credit union rather then a bank and my rates are way lower...try one... go and ask around for rates. i went to like 6 places before i found wherei ended up getting one at
