If the bank loans me $6000 at 12% interest?

for 6 months, what will be the total amount due on the loan?

how much will i have in my savings account if i deposit $2400 for 4 years at 5.5% compounded annually?

If the bank loans me $6000 at 12% interest?

For the second part, use the formula

FV = P(1+i)^n,

where P = 2400, i = .055, n = 4 and you are looking for FV

FV = 2400(1+.055)^4 = 2973.18

For the first part:

Is it compounded annually? If so, then you will owe

6000(1+.12)^6/12) = 6349.80

If the bank loans me $6000 at 12% interest?

then you have really shitty credit

If you borrow $6,000 at 12% interest for 6 months, you payments will be $1,035.30 per month. This gives a total of $6,211.80. If you deposit $2,400 at 5.5% for 4 years you will earn a total of $279.36 in interest.
